Term 3 Curriculum Reflection 2009
The Preps are very busy learning about animals through our unit called Animals: What is the same? What is different?
We began with some questions based on what we wanted to know about animals. We have been reading Information Books and developing our research skills in the library to answer our questions. Take a look at the Wondering Walls in our classrooms to find out what we're interested in.
As thinkers, Prep M students are learning how to ask questions.
Vanessa wants to know how the Zoo Keepers feed the animals without getting hurt?
Isabelle is wondering how the animals hunt for food? 
Lukas S wants to know how the animals play?
Lola is wondering how the zoo keepers know the animals are having babies? and
Ted wants to know what animals look like up close. So we thought we'd better ask our parents if we can go to the zoo to find out the answers to our questions. We have asked Rob to come too! How exciting!
Why are animals worth learning about?
Bella thinks we need to help animals to survive so we have animals in our life.
Eve said that there are special animals in Australia that aren't anywhere else in the world.
